Physiotherapy

Our Physiotherapists assess, diagnose and treat people with movement problems whilst also helping people to avoid injuries and maintain  fit and healthy bodies. Our team of experienced Physiotherapists are highly skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. We treat sports injuries, workplace injuries and motor vehicle accidents, chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, postural problems and headaches. Our Physiotherapists are available to provide 'hands on' treatment along with hydrotherapy, specialised exercise intervention & education programs.

The conditions our Physiotherapists can treat include, but are not limited to;

Your first consultation with our Physiotherapist will take approx 1 hr and involves a detailed physical and subjective assessment and includes obtaining detailed information about your medical history and current complaints. At the completion of this consultation our Physiotherapist will have a developed a detailed treatment plan for you, which may also involve intervention from one of our Accredited Exercise Physiologists or Massage Therapists. Our Physiotherapy programs are based on practical goals agreed upon by the physiotherapist and the client.

Our Physiotherapists are also qualified in conducting Hydrotherapy, Early Intervention Occupational Rehabilitation services.

All our physiotherapy services are claimable under "Medicare Enhanced Primary Health Care Scheme", "Department of Veteran Affairs" & Private Health Insurance.

Remedial / Sports Massage

This style of is more of a problem area focused massage. Usually preformed with a stronger and deeper pressure, using trigger point and deep kneading of the muscles, some discomfort may be experienced around problem areas.  The whole body is not always massaged as more time is spent of problems areas. The massage techniques used are aimed at correcting and normalising the body’s soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) and encouraging balance between the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Excellent for chronic ailments, back pain, headaches etc.

Relaxation Massage

Ease away the stresses of modern day living. Take time out of your normal routine to indulge yourself, unwind and feel revitalised.

This style of massage is more general, which helps de-stress and loosen up all over. Relaxation is a great starter massage for people who have never had a massage before, or people who just need some TLC. This treatment uses more flowing strokes and gentle kneading of the muscles and done to your preferred pressure to help you relax, mind and body.

Seated Massage

The seated massage routine is specially designed to focus on the neck, shoulders and upper back and generally lasts fifteen minutes. It acts to reduce accumulated physical and mental tension, and increase circulation, energy and mental clarity.

Seated massage is ideal for work or sporting functions or gatherings, make up parties, linen parties, etc.

Hot Stone Massage

This style of massage has been used by many ancient cultures for thousands of years. Preformed mainly with Basalt stones, heated to 50°C - 55°C, with regular massage also being incorporated for problem areas - if required. Most people find hot stone massage to be extremely relaxing due to the additional warming of the skin. This treatment uses long flowing strokes and some trigger point work with your preferred pressure.

Lymphatic Drainage

This style is a very gentle massage, used to help move the build up of fluid in the body. It is a helpful technique for people who suffer from swelling in the ankles and fluid retention, and for people who have a compromised lymphatic system, such as people who have had lymph nodes removed. This treatment uses feather light stroke in a predetermined order and is no oil is used. This massage is NOT recommended while undergoing a detox diet.
