Nutrition & Cooking Workshops during our 12 Wk Challenge - 14/06/2010

 

As part of our 12 Wk Challenge our Resident Nutritionist Lisa Vance will be hosting some Fantastic Nutrition & Cooking Workshops. Learn how to eat and cook healthy - the easy way! We invite you to join us at these fantastic workshops, jam packed with information, tools, secrets and expert solutions to help smooth the path of your weight loss journey and also give you access to a professional who can help you with any barriers or interruptions that come up.

Wednesday the 27th January 6.30pm- 8.30pm: Get Motivated! Part 1; How to figure out what you "should" be eating to stay healthy and manage your weight.  Will include "Healthy Start" cooking Demonstration.  You will get to eat what we cook!

Wednesday 3rd Feb 6.30pm - 8.30pm:   Your food affair.  Part 2:  understanding the emotional attachment to food, the impact of food on mood and mood on eating and the "how to" tools and strategies to keep you safe from self sabotage. "Healthy comforts"  food demonstration.  Comforting nibbles without all the guilt.

Wednesday 10th Feb 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm: Staying Power! Part 3 :  Releasing old habits and gaining better ones!  How to get back on track when you fall off the wagon, ways to get yourself doing those things you know you "should" be doing, but just don't and how to overcome disarming triggers that shoot you off course.  Healthy snacks demonstrations, quick on the go healthy snacks.  Nibbles and yummy snacks provided.

Cost: $30 per workshop or $75 for 3 workshops.

Book in for all 3 workshops and get these extras, not only will you benefit from the complete information set, but you will also receive a file with recipes, inserts and a diet diary.

Lisa Vance is an expert in eating behaviour.  She has travelled the world and spent a number of years exploring and understanding people's relationships with food.  She is qualified in nutrition and psychology and practices as a nutritionist with us at Merendi.   In this workshop series Lisa has put together for you, you will have the opportunity to get a greater understanding of yourself, to learn why you eat the way you do.  You will discover useful strategies outlining what you can do to control your eating behaviours as well as important insights into the nitty gritty important nutrition principles you need to know to match an eating plan or diet to your lifestyle.

Each workshop Includes: 
  • 1 hour information session covering strategies and tools so that you can tailor your weight management program so it works for you, and you have a greater understanding of what is important and what is not to keep you motivated and on track
  • handouts, worksheets and useful tools so that you have expert resources to make your journey easier
  • a quick cookery demonstration, where you will learn a tasty, easy and healthy recipe.  You will also get a copy of the recipe to take home with you and you get to eat the yummy creation. 
  • Questions and answers session where you have the opportunity to bounce ideas and solutions off each other and get your questions answered by an expert in nutrition and eating behaviour.  If there is something you have always been struggling with, chances are you will get an answer here.
