Merendi Leverett is awarded Best Service BusinessMerendi Leverett from Merendi Health & Wellness wins the title Best Service Business at the 2010 AusMumpreneur awards ceremony during the Connect2Mums conference in South Bank, Brisbane on Saturday night (31st July 2010).
The ceremony was an opportunity for business mums and dads to celebrate and recognise the best and brightest in the industry, acknowledging success in business, product development, services and innovation. Queensland Women minister Karen Struthers attended the gala event and Queensland Premier Anna Bligh recorded a special video message for the night.
From Australia and New Zealand mums - and some dads - were able to witness first hand their motivation and inspiration for balancing family time with their own small and successful businesses.

“I never really thought of myself as a mumpreneur - I was a mum who didn’t want to work full time anymore because I wanted to spend time with my children, so I started working for myself,” Ms Leverett explained.
“I work as exercise physiologist and it’s very much a male-dominated field. I feel privileged and proud that I am setting precedents for other women,” she added.
