Ear Candling

Ear Candling, also known as Ear Coning, is the process of removing a build up of excess wax within the ears. Its ancient origins come to us from the Native American Indians, the Chinese, Egyptian, Mayan and Tibetan cultures.

Useful in treating:

Ear Candling is very safe. Ear cones (or candles) are made from bees wax and organic linen and soaked or treated with herbs. They are hollow & inserted gently into the ear canal, they draw the wax and bacteria from the ear like a vacuum. The heat from the flames creates a very warm pleasant sensation in the ear area. Some report a feeling of the sinuses opening up, a lighter and less congested feeling and a soothing, warming effect.

Cupping & Gua Sha (traditional eastern method)

Cupping & Gua Sha, or Spooning, has been used traditionally to “draw out” pathogens that have invaded the body such as colds & ‘flu.

Cupping is the ideal modality to alleviate both the cold & ‘flu signs & symptoms.

Cupping is ideal for treating low back pain, tension in the neck & shoulder girdle, headaches, colds & ‘flu and reducing fevers.

Biomesotherapy

Biomesotherapy is a new therapy with the use of homeopathic products, stimulating specific points in the body with a saline solution. Most of these injections are given under the skin or in the muscles. Although these products have been used worldwide for several decades, the specific name “Biomesotherapy” came into being about a decade ago.

Biomesotherapy is useful for all types of conditions.

Needling – Dry needling

Dry Needling is an effective & efficient therapy for the treatment of myofacial trigger point pain. Trigger point dry needling is performed to release muscle spasms, relieve headaches and to alleviate joint pain & stiffness. Dry needling stimulates certain sensors within the body that modulate pain signals. Dry needling & the resulting “twitch responses” can cause local biochemical changes & result in an increase of blood flow in the trigger point area, but in all other aspects it is different than traditional acupuncture.

The Chinese describe acupuncture as “channels that transport energy (qi) around and through the human body. When qi flows freely and uninterrupted the human body will function at its optimum, however when Qi becomes blocked, aspects of the body (i.e. organs, muscles etc) become impaired and symptoms of illness or pain will result.
